Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris
The Conservatoire à rayonnement régional – CRR de Paris is an eminent school of performing arts of the City of Paris. In addition to its comprehensive programs of study in music, dance and theatre, the CRR offers a remarkable cultural season with nearly 400 annual events.
The CRR’s music education program includes three main areas:
- a specialized music curriculum dedicated to motivated and talented children and teenagers
- preparatory classes which provide students with an adequate training for institutions of higher
education (for example, the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse - CNSMD - de Paris and de Lyon, or the Pôles Supérieurs). The Pôle Supérieur Paris Boulogne-Billancourt allows outstanding students of these classes to complete a Bachelor's degree.
- a post-graduate « grande école » which guides students towards a professional career as solo performers, preparing them for national and international competitions, or as orchestral musicians.
The CRR is attended by 1,750 students under the guidance of 285 teachers. Since 1990, this Conservatoire is located in the prestigious building at 14 rue de Madrid, the former seat of the CNSMD de Paris.
